Local Restaurant Recommendations around Anna Maria Island

 Hands-down my favorite. The fried lobster is unbeatable, and the portions and menu blow other spots out of the water. Add in amazing bay views and you’ve got a winner—but trust me, you’ll need a reservation. 

 Located right on the Riverwalk, this is my second favorite spot. They cook without seed oils (huge plus), and the food is clean and flavorful. Pro tip: Grab a rooftop drink at Oak & Stone across the street before dinner. 

 This one’s all about the ambiance—waterfront dining with views of Sarasota Bay, Jewfish Key, moored sailboats, and the intracoastal. I smell the food while passing by on boat tours, and yes, it’s as good as it smells. 

 You’re literally dining on the beach with Gulf breezes all around, if outside. The view, vibe, and quality make this a solid pick. 

 When I want something different from Five Guys (my favorite burger joint off the island), The Smoqehouse brisket burger hits the spot. With flavor-packed burgers and a cool, casual setting, this one is a must. 

 Strip mall location, but don’t let that fool you—the flavor is incredible. Their tacos are next-level, and the freshness will take you straight to Mexico. 

 Straight from New Zealand, this place delivers the real deal. Crispy, golden, authentic fish and chips. A must-try for seafood lovers. 

 Reliable, classy, and popular for a reason. Great cocktails, solid seafood, and a porch with Skyway and water views that are hard to beat. 

 I have a love-hate relationship with this one. The vibe is fun and the menu’s big, but always ask where the seafood comes from if it’s not listed. Still, it’s a cool place to grab a bite over the water. 

 Tex-Mex with beachy flair. Great margaritas, solid eats, and a super casual spot to kick back after a long beach day. 

 Rustic, no-frills, and legendary. Eat dockside, watch the boats come in, and enjoy seafood that’s fresh-off-the-boat. Local gem. 

Absolutely love the Key lime and berry pies here. Don’t forget to ask for the cream—trust me, it takes the pie to another level.
